Your AI Reading Assistant
AIRA is here to simplify learning for anyone who finds traditional reading methods challenging. Whether it’s textbooks, scanned documents, or PDFs, AIRA ensures that no one is left behind in the learning process.
How does it work?
AIRA breaks down complex or lengthy text into manageable chunks first. Then, you can have those bits read aloud; I’m using the read aloud feature (look for the speaker icon 🔊 next to the conversation replies) to make this possible). Beyond that, AIRA offers summaries, concept processing support, and gentle quizzes to test comprehension.
- Tailored for people with dyslexia – It makes reading feel less overwhelming.
- Interactive experience – You can choose to continue reading, get explanations, or test your understanding of the material.
- Encouragement and support – Using CBT and DBT* approaches, it provides helpful, empathetic prompts, in kind language, keeping you motivated to keep going.
Why did I make this?
I built AIRA for my daughter, who has dyslexia, ADHD, and challenges with memory and processing. Reading was not just cognitively difficult for her, it was emotionally exhausting, and the effort required to work through the material often obscured what she was actually capable of understanding. I created AIRA to reduce that friction, help her comprehend her coursework, and let her demonstrate her potential without doing the work for her.

* Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) are both evidence-based therapies that can help with a variety of mental health issues. CBT can be especially helpful for managing the emotional challenges associated with dyslexia, such as low self-esteem, anxiety, and frustration.
